VHAI has partnered with the Constellation in April 2018 to deliver implementation of the SALT (Stimulate, Appreciate, Learn and Transfer) approach in the districts Kamrup and Udalgari, Assam, India. In SALT approach, communtiies plays a role in all aspects of the causal chain. Facilitators of the SALT approach stimulate local communities in the mobilization of their own strengths to address their concerns and accompany them through systematic learning from action.
VHAI will be implementing through its State level team in Assam. Constellation and VHAI have undertaken to facilitate SALT in 60 villages in 2 districts in Assam. The Constellation is a Belgium registered not for profit organization formed in 2005 to respond to the AIDs pandemic. Since 2005, the Constellation has facilitated the SALT approach in more than 50 countries, through more than 100 partnerships with governments and national and international organizations.
