Ms. Bhavna Mukhopadhyay, Chief Executive, VHAI was invited to chair a session for the 64th Annual National Conference of Indian Public Health Association- IPHACON 2020 on 29th February at AIIMS, New Delhi. The Theme of the conference was ‘Promoting Public Health Leadership for Universal Health Coverage in India’. Ms. Mukhopadhyay along with Dr. Sunita, Maulana Azad Medical College chaired the session on Tobacco Control.
The session included topics like History, Epidemiology and Burden of Tobacco Control, WHO FCTC, MPOWER Strategy and NTCP, Expanding Tobacco Cessation in India, Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems and Electronic Non- Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS/ENNDS) which were articulated by eminent speakers in the field of Tobacco Control like Dr. L Swasthcharan.
