Voluntary Health Association of India organized its 45th Annual General Body Meeting on 27th September 2019 at Hotel IBIS Style, Goa. VHAI and its State VHAs along with board members meet annually to discuss the issues of critical concern linked to health and development of our country, particularly from the perspective of their work in different sectors. Professionals from various walks of life – doctors, social activists, health workers, public health professionals who have given decades of service to the social developmental work constitute this group.
The meeting included opening session on new initiatives by the Government of India- Health and Wellness Centers and technical sessions on emerging challenges like E-Cigarettes and Nutrition related challenges in India along with presentations on some exemplary programmes of State VHAs.
