Representatives from VHAI attended a national workshop on Food Safety and Standards (Safe Food and Healthy Diets for School Children) Regulations, 2019 (Draft) by the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) on 30th October, 2019 in New Delhi.
The proposed Regulations are aimed at inculcating healthy and right eating habits among children from a young age. The draft of the regulation was put on the public domain for seeking comments of the stakeholders and to workout a road map for its implementation. The VHAI team has shared a detailed feedback with FSSAI.
