Overview
The key achievements under the project are
In Patient Department (IPD) service, delivery service, referral and ambulance service has been established.
In collaboration with District and Block Health Administration the project is organizing training programmes for ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, Health worker (Male & Female) and paramedics on a regural basis to update their knowledge and skills. So, far 126 health service providers are trained by the project.
Due to the distance factor and communication barrier people from far and isolated villages are not able to come to Adri PHC or any other health centre. To address the health needs of these areas mobile health camps were organized by the project in remote and distance locations. So, far 96 health camps were organized in remote villages. During these camps 3687 patients were diagnosed and treated.
Project took special initiatives to promote vasectomy in the operational area. With active support from PRI members, School teachers and community leaders 46 male adopt vasectomy which is a remarkable achievement not only in the District but also in the entire State.
Management of PHC (N) under Public Private Partnership Scheme, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha
In collaboration with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha, VHAI managing a Primary health centre in one of the most remote and inaccessible block of Odisha in Kalahandi District. The main objective of the project is to functionalize the health centre as well as service delivery mechanism in the project area to improve the health condition of the people and to provide preventive, promotive, and curative health services.
