VHAI has been implementing Project Axshya since 2010. The project endeavours to improve access to quality TB care and control through a partnership between the government and civil society. It supports India’s Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP) to expand its reach, visibility and effectiveness. Project Axshya engages community-based providers to improve TB services, especially for women, children, and vulnerable or marginalised populations. The document entails phase wise interventions through the project, its achievements and challenges so far.
