Dr. Swapnil Jain, a public health professional has an extensive experience in Health, WASH and Nutrition centred project management and partner mediated implementation. At VHAI, he responsible for effective implementation of UNICEF funded project to strengthen routine immunization and COVID-19 prevention by empowering community based organizations in 17 districts of North-Eastern states of India. He provides technical and handholding support to the state and district teams on the interventions leading to increase in immunization coverage and enhanced knowledge & awareness on COVID-19.

A PhD in Biotechnology with research focused on epidemiological and molecular characterization of viral pathogens responsible for childhood diarrhoeal diseases, Dr. Sawpnil has got research work published in peer reviewed journals of international repute. He has presented his studies in many national and international conferences. He has also worked as a Project Coordinator-Health & Nutrition at Save the Children. Apart from this, Dr. Swapnil has got 8 years of experience in research and academic teaching.

Awards and Fellowship

  • International travel grants by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India to attend 5th Asian Vaccine conference. Held at Hanoi, Vietnam, 2015.
  • Award for best poster presentation at National Conference on Emerging Trends in Host-Microbe Interactions. Held at Jalandhar, Punjab, 2015.
