Dr. Pramesh Chandra Bhatnagar is a Medical Professional with specialization in Public Health working in the field of Health & Development for more than 25 years. Presently working as the Executive Director, with Voluntary Health Association of India, his focus of work is communicable disease control including Vector borne diseases TB & HIV. He has done extensive work in the field of community mobilization for communicable disease control.

He coordinates all Communicable diseases related activities including Vector Born Disease control Programmes of VHAI. He is the programme manager for Axshaya Project, a Global Fund supported project through The Union South East Asia office for TB control. He is team leader for the VHAI project Community Mobilization for Malaria control & Kala-azar Elimination for vulnerable communities in India supported by NVBDCP. He is also strategic advisor for Integrated Malaria Control Project being implemented in the North/East with support from Global Fund. He has done extensive work in the North-eastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim on prevention and control of communicable diseases especially Malaria and Tuberculosis.

He is a member of National Advisory Committee on Kala-azar Elimination. He also represents VHAI on National Technical Advisory committee for NVBDCP. He is also involved with health systems strengthening activities of VHAI through PPP especially management of PHCs in Andaman, Arunachal Pradesh and Orissa. He is involved in Planning, management and evaluation of community health projects in various part of country. He is also involved in capacity building of various levels of health functionaries especially in voluntary sector. He is also involved with designing and conducting evaluation of different community health, Public health, development, RCH projects for various national & international agencies like WHO, USAID, EZE, ICCO, MOH&FW GOI etc. Till date he has conducted more than 40 appraisals and evaluations for these agencies.
