Team VHAI attended the first meeting of the expert advisory group on social determinants framework for implementation of Project INSPIRE. WHO collaborated with CDC, PAHO, PEPFAR, UNICEF, UNODC,USAID and the World Bank for the preparation of the INSPIRE package.
INSPIRE is a technical package of seven strategies to support countries in their efforts to prevent and respond to violence against children. The meeting was held virtually on 21st October 2022 with an objective to finalise social determinants and refine an initial plan of action for the implementation of the project.
VHAI participated in the meeting along with other members of the advisory group including CDC, USA, South African Medical Research Council and University of Cape town, WHO, National Institute of Medical Research, Tanzania and Social Research Centre, Egypt.
